Christmas & New Year

You’re very welcome to come along to any of these Masses across the two churches. Our churches are always warm in temperature and in welcome so come and celebrate the birth of Jesus. He’s the Son of God and True God, the one who calls us by name and promises to be with us always.

You can watch our online Nine Lessons and Carols Service, sung by the New Tottenham Singers here. Donations for this service can be made here and will be split between St Mary’s and the NTS.

You can sing along with carols at home watching the video here. The words are in the Order of Service, which is a PDF here Christmas Video Home Carol Singing.

Masses can continue even though London is in Tier 4. You do not need to book a place at Mass. Masks are to be worn and two metres distance should be maintained please. There is no congregational singing in line with Government guidance but there will be a cantor or a choir singing hymns at the following Masses:

Christmas Eve

4pm at St Mary’s Crib Mass, especially for children and families this is a relatively relaxed affair.

6pm at Good Shepherd Evening Mass, especially for those who don’t want to be out later. Come, welcome the Saviour!

11.30pm at St Mary’s, the traditional Midnight Mass in a candlelit church.

Christmas Day

10am Morning Mass at St Mary’s, before or after you’ve opened your presents come and receive the greatest present ever – the Son of God.

New Year’s Eve

8pm at Good Shepherd Watchnight Mass, bring your resolutions to God that they may be begun, continued and ended in Him.

11.30pm at St Mary’s Watchnight Mass, a candlelit festival as we seek the new year to be filled with the light of Christ.

New Year’s Day

10am at St Mary’s Mass with Hymns. A quiet and calm start to the New Year as we know of the Peace of the Spirit.
